This WILL change videography forever

A.I is a hot topic at the moment. Its everywhere. New products are being released with A.I all the time, big names talking about it and there is no escaping the fact that it is very much a thing we need to be aware of especially as videographers.

You might not realise it but A.I has been used in things we use daily, for years. Our phones and other devices are filled with A.I. Voice recognition, facial recognition and even text prediction are all forms of A.I, they just have names like ‘Siri’ or ‘Alexa’. However it is only know that A.I is starting to be spoken about and realised as to how life changing this is going to be. Potentially in positive ways but also in more negative ways too.

For videography, this is just the start and the things that are more accessible than ever before are have never been easier to use. Things like creating your own sets for your videos. This is huge if you are trying to make a video in a certain location, don’t have a great filming space or want to just try something a little different.

I made this video explaining how you can do this using generative fill in photoshop. Bear in mind, this is still in Beta, and it is also the first generation of it. Imagine what it will be like in a few years when you can actually use this to create videos, not just stills. I can’t get my head around it!
